We're proud of our 'client-centric' approach, collaborative culture, and commitment to technical excellence — and we are building a modern tax department with the right people in the right seats.Role SummaryWe are seeking a full-time Tax Manager with strong experience in 1040 review, tax planning for business owners, and exposure to trust, estate, and international individual compliance. This role will serve as a technical leader and reviewer, manage seasonal and full-time staff on individual return preparation, and help build a scalable, quality-focused individual tax function. This is a highly visible position ideal for someone who wants to own and lead a key function in a growing firm.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and finalize ~300 high-net-worth individual returns annually, many involving K-1s, Schedules C/E/F, stock compensation, and flow-through planningReview ~20 trust and estate tax returns (Form 1041) and related filingsReview or support preparation of international compliance forms including FBAR, 5471, 5472, 8938, GILTIServe as a go-to resource for individual tax planning for business owners and families, including year-end planning and estimated payment strategiesSupervise and mentor staff and seasonal preparers (including remote contractors)Coordinate with other Tax Department leaders on workload, deadlines, and firm initiativesCollaborate with the GovCon and Accounting departments to deliver cross-functional planning and complianceAssist in staff development, documentation of review procedures, and quality control initiativesQualificationsCPA license (required)7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accountingDemonstrated expertise in 1040 review and related tax planningSolid experience with trust & estate returns and rules (Form 1041)Familiarity with international individual compliance (FBAR, 5471, 5472, etc.)Strong communication skills; ability to lead review conversations and client interactionsComfortable working in a hybrid or remote team environmentExperience with CCH Axcess Tax, ProSystems Engagement, and Canopy is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive salary + performance bonusesFlexible work environment (hybrid, remote considered)CPA license & CPE supportLeadership and client visibility in a collaborative cultureOpportunity to shape the Individual Tax function and mentor a growing teamHigh degree of autonomy, with support from a Director-level team
