You will work in a team to ensure we follow best practices for billing and follow-up tasks to maximize insurance reimbursement.What are we looking for?We are looking for this candidate to possess experience in the healthcare sector, specifically within a back end revenue cycle function at a provider. They should have a solid understanding of the claim submission and follow-up process, with general exposure to denials and cash posting tasks. Strong communication and collaboration skills will also be important for the newly formed team to ensure a high level of success.What will you do?Review and prioritize follow-up activities requiring claim edits or general payer follow-upResearch claim denial issues and resolve them in a timely manner to release claims to payersContact insurance companies to understand delays in processing claims or sending payments and identify next steps to resolve themInvestigate payment variance situations to understand root cause and next steps to resolve themCapture follow-up activities with clear, descriptive notes within the workflow applicationSupport transition of claims to other staff in department with denial and cash posting tasks, as neededPrioritize and drive issue resolution with any partnering department, like Credentialing or Customer SuccessIdentify trends in payer behavior and surface them for leadership reviewWhat will you NOT do?You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
