We are hiring an experienced Project Manager to oversee MEP drafting and BIM coordination projects from kickoff through final delivery.This is a remote project management role supporting a U.S.-based client. The candidate will coordinate directly with the client, General Contractors, engineers, architects, BIM coordinators, and drafting teams through email, video calls, project management tools, and shared drawing/model platforms.The role is not primarily a drafting position, but the candidate must be able to review drawings, understand Revit models, identify coordination issues, communicate clearly, and manage production teams effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the main point of contact for clients, General Contractors, engineers, architects, and internal drafting teamsReview project drawings, specifications, scopes, BIM models, and construction documents before production beginsEstimate drafting hours, staffing needs, and project timelinesAssign work to drafting teams based on priorities, deadlines, and team capacityManage multiple active MEP drafting and BIM coordination projects at the same timeTrack project progress, milestones, RFIs, revisions, deadlines, and client updatesReview completed work for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements before submissionCoordinate drafting workflows for plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical systemsIdentify missing information, coordination conflicts, and constructability concerns early in the processWork with BIM coordinators to address clashes, model issues, and coordination conflictsEnsure drafting standards, annotation standards, and quality control procedures are followedCommunicate clearly with clients regarding schedules, revisions, open items, and project statusMaintain organized project documentation, logs, and internal communicationKeep drafting teams accountable while helping remove roadblocks that may delay productionQualificationsExperience in MEP construction, BIM coordination, Revit drafting, project management, or a closely related fieldStrong understanding of MEP systems, construction documents, shop drawings, and coordination workflowsHands-on experience with Autodesk Revit is requiredExperience with Navisworks for coordination and clash detection is highly preferredAbility to read architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical drawingsExperience estimating drafting hours and managing production schedulesStrong client communication and follow-up skillsHighly organized and able to manage multiple fast-moving projects at onceStrong attention to detail and ability to identify issues before they become delaysFluent spoken and written EnglishComfortable working remotely with strong communication, accountability, and follow-throughIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate has a strong understanding of both construction and drafting production.
