Job DescriptionWith multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Language Manager (German) to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.This role is awarded as a 2 year Fixed Term Contract.ResponsibilitiesOwn the quality of the German translationsTranslates in-game text, voice scripts, marketing and PR content as required to support products and services through development, launch and beyondCreates and maintains translation memories, glossaries, and style guidesProvides cultural and creative input regarding the localization of Larian products into the target regionMaintains awareness of the games industry in the target market and communicates trends to relevant stakeholdersDevelops and builds strong relationships with relevant stakeholders in an effort to resolve questions or conflicts related to terminology, language quality and workflowPlaytests to confirm in-game text context for accurate translationCollaborates with external localization vendors to improve the language qualityRequirements2 years of experience or more localizing video gamesStrong writing and editing skills in GermanFluent in EnglishExperience localizing time-delimited dialoguesExperience with CAT Tools, memoQ is a plusNice to HavesAt least one AAA game shippedExperience with voice acting castingExperience with Confluence and JIRAWhat we offerAn international team of over 500 employees spread across 7 studios around the world, each of which have their own unique qualities, and maintain a small-studio feelAn open, collaborative environment where ideas are welcome and encouragedA managerial team consisting of highly experienced game developers at the top of their fieldsSharing hobbies and passions with like-minded colleaguesInclusive environment with many activities organized by the studios or the employeesCommitment to making the best game possible for the fans, including listening to community feedback
