Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage core accounting functions and provide light operational support. This role will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end journal entries. The ideal candidate will also help with basic administrative tasks that support the finance teams day-to-day functions. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Tasks (Primary): Process vendor invoices and prepare payment runs (Accounts Payable). Create and send invoices to U.S.-based clients; track collections (Accounts Receivable). Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Record journal entries and assist with the month-end close. Maintain organized financial documentation following audit standards. Support the U.S. team with ad hoc financial reports or reconciliations. Administrative & Operational Support (Secondary - approx. 10-15% of role): Handle physical mail and scanned documents. Organize and digitize receipts, vendor forms, and employee documentation. Coordinate with internal departments and external partners as needed. Assist with office supply purchases or coworking logistics. Support general clerical duties for the finance and accounting team. Qualifications: 2+ years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formatting). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Intermediate to advanced English communication skills (written and verbal). Must be based in Mexico City. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Nice-to-Haves: Familiarity with Trello, ClickUp, or Notion Prior experience supporting a U.S.-based company or working in a multinational environment.
