The Lead Engineer, Test Manufacturing accepts, transfers, installs, improves and maintains automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:Define test strategy, implement and optimize test setup/processes including design and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment and test software.Drive/Validate test requirements, specifications and limits for NPI.Investigate and troubleshoot yield issues.Provide training for Tests TechnicianDevelop test station procedures, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides to support productionInvestigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology and methodology to enhance production efficiencyKnowledge/Skills/CompetenciesA degree holder with a minimum of 6 - 8 years of related experienceExperience with Visual BasicProven experience with defining, developing, and implementing manufacturing test strategies for new productsExperience with reviewing hardware designs to define test coverage to ensure products are built free of manufacturing defectsDeep understanding of DFT and DFM methodsKnowledge of electromechanical systemsSelf-starter, capable of working independently while making sound technical/business judgments and building strong cross-functional relationshipsExperience with engineering drawingsKnowledge of sensor application and limitationsKnowledge of DC circuitsStrong skills in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electromechanical systemsStrong problem-solving skillsCOMPANY OVERVIEW:Celestica (NYSE, TSX: CLS) enables the world’s best brands.
