What we are looking for:A driven and mission-focused Advocacy Events Specialist to provide direct support to the Advocacy operations team, contributing to the planning, coordination, and execution of Prison Fellowship's Advocacy events.Expectations of this role:Support the Advocacy team in the planning and execution of events and meetingsCoordinate event logistics, including timelines, budgets, venues, food and beverage, equipment, contracts, speakers, entertainment, travel, and other operational requirementsManage logistical and administrative components of event invitations and trackingRepresent the organization onsite at many Advocacy events (including in-prison events), monitor event execution, resolve common issues, and escalate more complex matters to the supervisorQualifications:Maintain an active relationship with Jesus Christ and support the ministry through prayer and actions2-5 years of relevant experience in event planning, marketing, and/or operationsDemonstrated ability to interact with senior leadershipCollege degree or equivalent coursework and experienceDemonstrated proficiency in event-related software, Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting platforms with ability to learn in-house databaseStrong knowledge of event planning/scheduling, vendor coordination, on-site execution, and post-event follow-upExperience drafting event communications, managing project timelines, and budget trackingExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to perform effectively in fast-paced environment under pressureThis is a full-time remote position in DC/MD/VA area with an up to 30% travel component; the driving aspect of this role is subject to certain driving record and insurance requirementsWhat we offer:At Prison Fellowship, our goal is to support the total well-being of all our employees. Salary at Prison Fellowship is determined by a variety of factors.
