About the RoleWe're hiring on behalf of our client — a growing outside plant (OSP) fiber infrastructure company delivering large-scale fiber optic construction projects across multiple U.S. markets.The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of large-scale fiber optic construction projects across multiple markets. This role will oversee project timelines, budgets, permitting, vendor coordination, and customer communications to ensure successful fiber deployments that meet operational and financial targets. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in OSP fiber construction, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects independently in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.ResponsibilitiesIdentify candidate OSP engineering/construction firms; manage the bid/vendor selection process and contract negotiationOwn tactical project management, including project schedules, running regular project calls, and supporting project functions (securing bonds, internal signatures for permits, etc.)Provide build cost estimates for the sales teamPerform service delivery functions, including regular customer updates (written and/or oral), coordinating site access, and close-out package preparationConduct site walks with customers and vendorsWork with local/state/federal permitting agencies to secure timely permit approvalsProvide direction and coordination of project environmental requirements, tasks, and activitiesManage environmental engineering vendors and related subcontractors as they secure related permittingDocument splicing requirements and maintain fiber engineering documentationSpecify and procure optics components for contractor installationMaintain up-to-date network maps in the company's proprietary geospatial project management platform, including in-flight design changes and final as-built routesProvide accurate network maps to state 811 agencies and the company's NOCManage network maintenance and relocation projects (including emergency maintenance)Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in project management, fiber network engineering, or telecom infrastructure deploymentProven ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and scopes of workStrong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent vendor management and communication skills, with experience running RFPs, selecting contractors, and negotiating termsDemonstrated experience with OSP fiber project management, including permitting, construction oversight, and service delivery coordination (candidates with strong telecom infrastructure deployment experience in adjacent domains are also encouraged to apply)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and mapping tools (e.g., Google Earth or similar GIS platforms)Must be authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available for this role)Must currently reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, or WashingtonPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related fieldFamiliarity with environmental permitting processes and regulationsExperience using or managing data in proprietary geospatial or project management platformsWorking knowledge of fiber optic equipment, network architecture, and splicing documentationExperience supporting state 811 programs, NOC coordination, and network maintenance or relocation effortsHyperscale data center or hyperscale infrastructure project experience is a strong plusJob Details & Physical RequirementsThis is a staff position (Full-Time, Exempt)Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability as needed to fulfill the core duties of the roleThis position requires the ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods of time, using a computer and other office equipmentThis position requires the ability to perform fine motor tasks, such as typing or using a mouse, for extended periods of time
