Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced MES / MOM Support Engineer to support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/MOM) across SMT production lines. This role will serve as the bridge between IT and OT, ensuring reliable machine connectivity, real-time production data, and manufacturing system stability while partnering with operations, engineering, IT, and vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide L2/L3 support for MES/MOM platforms (Proficy, Ignition, or similar).Troubleshoot production issues involving WIP, traceability, quality, and production orders.Support integration between MES and shop-floor equipment, including PLCs, SCADA, and manufacturing machines.Resolve machine connectivity issues (OPC UA, MQTT, vendor protocols) and data flow problems.Gather MES, quality, and SPC requirements from plant operations.Coordinate with engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and equipment vendors to support manufacturing operations.Assist with SMT line commissioning, MES deployments, FAT/SAT testing, go-lives, and hypercare support.Required Qualifications3–10 years of MES/MOM support experience in a manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience with MES/MOM platforms.Strong knowledge of IT/OT integration, manufacturing networks, PLCs, SCADA, and industrial connectivity.Experience troubleshooting machine communication and production systems.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across manufacturing, engineering, IT, and business teams.Top 3 SkillsMES/MOM Expertise – Supporting or implementing MES/MOM solutions.IT/OT Integration – Manufacturing networks, machine connectivity, and industrial protocols.Cross-Functional Communication – Ability to bridge manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams.NO 3rd Parties or Sponsorship!Duration: 6 months + extensionLocation: Remote with some travel to MI
