We are looking for someone with a proven technical Sales Engineering background in high-performance sales organizations, demonstrated ability to assist and advance technical sales both remotely and on-site when needed, and ability to create a great rapport with technical stakeholders and IT leaders alike. We value experience in dynamic start-up environments and a passion for sales. The primary focus of this role will be on closing sales transactions at a high percentage while maintaining a high volume of sales and increasing ACV. This is a remote role based in the United States. Preference given to candidates located in the Central Time Zone. The position may require business travel (up to 25%). ResponsibilitiesThe Sales Engineer will be responsible for technical sales with clearly defined revenue and prospect interaction goals: Support sales productivity and the deals flow by securing the technical closure with the technical stakeholder within the prospect's organization.Conduct technical presentations and demos to prospectsLead technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs) in prospects’ environment(s)Manage technical relationships with prospects and ensure successful POCsParticipate in Sales, Marketing and Partner events and conferencesProvide training and technical updates for PartnersProvide feedback to Product Management for customer feature requestsKeep abreast of competition, competitive issues and productsKeep up with technical knowledge of relevant technologiesAssist in maintaining our own ControlUp environment.Requirements2-3 years experience in working in a technical sales role or at an equivalent technical level/role with hands-on experience in end-user experience technologies* (3-5 years preferred)Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Proven track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotasProblem solving skills, positive attitude, resourceful and effective/confident in making decisionsCommercial awareness and a customer-centric approach to sellingProficient with Virtualization and VDI technologies, both on-premises and cloud-based: Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Nutanix, AWSProficient with physical end-points and their Operating Systems: Desktop/Laptops: Windows, Mac OS, Linux; ThinClients: IGEL, Stratodesk, 10Zig, HP ThinProPreferred Experience / QualificationsExperience working in or with organizations that have large IT departmentsKnowledge of IT Operations with exposure to Microsoft/Citrix/VMware/Nutanix VDI technologies, as well as physical end-pointsFamiliarity with DEX and how to position its valuePowerShell skills and knowledgeExperience with high growth, SaaS companiesFluency in a foreign language is a big plus.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
