Ethos is looking for an RL Engineer to help build the systems that generate the data feeding post-training workflows from scratch. Not optimizing an existing pipeline. Building the environments, the agentic infra that sources and routes domain experts at scale, and the eval frameworks that actually close the loop between data quality and model performance.They're specifically looking for people who:Have shipped in resource-constrained environments and taken real ownership (not just "worked at a startup")Have a generalist streak you'd rather solve the problem than stay in your laneAre comfortable moving across backend, infra, and ML toolingBacked by a16z, General Catalyst, and other top investors. The pitch is blunt: "We're building AI to make humans irreplaceable."If you've done RLHF, RLAIF, preference data, or evals work and it felt like the most interesting part of your job this is that, as the whole job.
