You will work closely with other disciplines (Sales, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) to maintain our fleet of robotic systems. This role requires up to 75% of travel to customer sites.What you’ll doFunction as the primary contact for technicians who are resolving problems in the field Use your background in automation to resolve unique and complex problemsContinuously mentor and develop skills of coworkers to empower them in performing repairsManage onsite resources during repairs and deployments, including both contractors and Ocado employeesResponsible to participate in completion of HW and SW repairs and updates, including oversight of third party contractorsDevise and call out process improvements, propose detailed solutions, develop documentation and manage implementation of changesIdentify, research, diagnose, and troubleshoot solutions to resolve customer issues Oversee updates to preventative maintenance schedules and repair proceduresPerform duties at ground level requiring frequent kneeling, squatting, crawling, and working in tight or restricted areas.Act as a resource for engineering, product, service and sales teams when requiredTravel to potential customers sites to complete pre-deployment evaluations and communicate findings to stakeholdersTravel to customers sites to complete and supervise either deployment or removal of hardwareTravel between customer sites to complete hardware and software updates as directed by the operations teamTravel to Kindred offices to assist in hardware project design and implementationsWhat you’ll bringBS/MS – Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or  Engineering 5+ years of experience in a related industry (e.g. industrial automation)Ability to independently perform complex repairs on both mobile and industrial robotic systemsAbility to de-escalate, communicate, and document customer requests Experience supervising and training coworkers Experience assisting with new robot bring-up and supervision of installationsFamiliarity with industrial robot arms and autonomous vehicles (e.g. jogging a robot arms, setting parameters, diagnosing sensors)Familiarity with automation and industry safety standardsAbility to write and implement robotics preventative maintenance schedules and teach associated tasks to coworkersAbility to document any processes required to deploy and maintain our systemsAble to interpret wiring diagrams, diagnose electrical problems, and write detailed reportsBonus qualificationsUnderstanding and experience working with WMS and WES architecturesExperience working alongside Network and Software team members while completing project deliveriesDesign and prototype electrical systems for both large and small-scale applicationsAble to specify automation-grade electrical equipmentAble to create and maintain electrical schematics for electrical panelsComfortable using a Command Line InterfaceA passion for learning new skills and improving service qualityExcellent understanding of application and network stacks to assist in troubleshooting and diagnosis or issues#LI-BM2INDOCDNA
