We are currently hiring for a Middleware SME (Tomcat) - Remote for our global IT Infrastructure support client in the Toronto area.Role OverviewPosition: Middleware SME - Remote Contractor. Software International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Middleware SME to join our team on a remote contract basis. As a Middleware SME, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our clients' middleware systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain middleware solutions for our clientsTroubleshoot and resolve any issues related to middleware systemsDevelop and maintain documentation for middleware systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of middleware with other systemsStay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in middleware technologyProvide training and support to other team members on middleware systemsParticipate in project planning and provide technical recommendations for middleware solutionsConduct performance testing and optimization of middleware systemsEnsure compliance with security and data protection policies for middleware systemsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience working with middleware systemsStrong knowledge of middleware technologies such as Tomcat, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Couchbase. These are key for this projectIBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, are nice to havesExperience with middleware integration and troubleshootingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience with cloud-based middleware solutions is a plusRelevant certifications in middleware technology is preferredThis is a remote contract position, so the candidate must have a reliable internet connection and be able to work independently.
