Requirements and responsibilities


We are seeking a professional and reliable remote Dental Patient Coordinator & Insurance Verification Specialist to support a U.S. dental office. You will work with U.S. patients and U.S. dental insurance companies. This position includes handling front desk responsibilities remotely through live video and phone calls during U.S. business hours, assisting patients, managing scheduling, verifying insurance, and supporting daily administrative operations. You will spend time on the phone making calls to insurance companies and taking calls from patients. The ideal candidate has experience working for a U.S. dental office, is comfortable being visible on camera during work shifts, and can professionally communicate with patients and insurance companies while handling multiple tasks at the same time in a busy environment. RESPONSIBILITIES - Remain available on live video during designated U.S. business hours to assist with virtual front desk coverage. - Professionally greet and assist patients through video and phone communication. - Answer inbound and outbound patient calls. - Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments. - Send appointment reminders and follow up with patients regarding treatment and scheduling. - Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, limitations, and coverage details. - Contact U.S. insurance companies regarding claims, denials, missing information, and outstanding balances. - Follow up on unpaid insurance claims and outstanding patient balances. - Enter insurance payments and EOBs into Dentrix or similar dental software systems. - Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation. - Coordinate with the dental office team regarding patient concerns, scheduling conflicts, and insurance issues. - Assist with general administrative and front desk support tasks. - Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent patient service at all times. REQUIREMENTS - Minimum 1 year of experience working for a U.S. dental office. - Experience with U.S. dental insurance verification and claims follow-up is required. - Experience using Dentrix or similar dental software is preferred. - Strong English speaking and communication skills (you will communicate with English-speaking patients and insurance companies). - Comfortable handling patient calls and front desk responsibilities throughout your workday. - Comfortable remaining visible on live video during designated U.S. business hours for patient-facing front desk coverage. - Professional appearance and communication while on camera. - Reliable computer, webcam, high-speed internet connection, and quiet work environment (no background noise). - Strong ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time and stay organized. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented. Compensation: $7 – $9 per hour depending on experience with dental insurance verification, Dentrix, and patient communication.
