We are seeking an experienced, passionate Social Media Video Editor with at least 3 years’ experience working with Western companies or Western-style brands. You will be responsible for editing engaging social media videos, reels, and short-form content that aligns with our clients’ brand look and feel. You must be self-driven, creative, and capable of following creative briefs and supplied content (stills + text + music direction) from our agency.Job ResponsibilitiesEdit Short-Form Social Content - Edit short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook videos) that drives engagement, watch-time, and shares.Adobe Creative Suite Mastery - Use Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition to produce polished, professional video content.Brand-Led Editing - Understand and maintain the client’s brand look and feel matching style, pacing, tone, colour grading, and transitions based on supplied briefs.Graphic Design & Photo Editing - Create and enhance social graphics, overlays, thumbnails, captions, and photo assets when required.Music & Audio Selection - Select relevant, trending background music and audio tracks that elevate content while remaining platform-friendly and on-brand.Creative Storytelling for Reels - Produce captivating 15–60 second reels that hook within the first 2–3 seconds and sustain audience attention.Asset Organisation & Workflow - Manage media assets, edits, revisions, and versions in an organised, structured folder system; deliver files on time and in correct formats.Quality Control & Collaboration - Work with the creative director, copywriters, and project managers to refine edits based on feedback and ensure consistent quality across all deliverables.Required Experience & SkillsMinimum 3 years’ experience editing social-first video contentProven experience working with Western brands or Western audiencesStrong portfolio of social media reels, short-form edits, and creative video contentProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition)Good sense of pacing, storytelling, trending editing styles, and platform nuancesCapable of photo editing + basic graphic design for social postsUnderstands music licensing, audio levels, and can pick platform-appropriate tracksAble to follow creative briefs accurately and independentlyExcellent communication skills in EnglishIdeal AttributesCreative thinker with passion for social video trendsDetail-oriented with high quality control standardsComfortable receiving and acting on feedbackLoves what you do and stays ahead of social media trendsDeliverables Example8–12 reels per week (depending on client scope)Thumbnails, captions, and graphicsEdited videos optimised for each platform formatOrganised, labelled project files and exportsPortfolio RequirementPlease provide a link to your portfolio or examples of your best social video work, especially Instagram/TikTok/Shorts clips.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
