Job DescriptionThe Senior Sales Engineer I is responsible for using technical knowledge of Inductive Automation’s product offerings to support the Sales team by providing excellent service to the company’s customers, guiding implementation based on customer requirements and executing strategies to grow sales. They analyze customers’ technical specifications, recommend the best product configuration and installation processes as well as estimate implementation effort, time and resources. The Senior Sales Engineer I develops and delivers technical demonstrations and education, architectures and best practices to Inductive Automation’s end-users and Integrators to grow customer loyalty. This is a full-time role with remote, on-site, and hybrid opportunities available.ResponsibilitiesProviding end-users, integrators, and customers technical demonstrations and web demos; including demonstrations of Ignition, answering technical questions and architecture discussionsHosting Lunch and Learns for Integrators, educating them on specific features of IgnitionAssisting customers with questionnaires of RFPsProviding solution support to end-users, integrators, and customers to ensure they have the knowledge needed to successfully thrive using Ignition softwareAttending various conferences and tradeshows with Public Relations division; travel may be requiredAssisting with Ignition Benchmark TestingBuilding Ignition Exchange resourcesHaving the ability to work with enterprise accountsContinuing to work on building a sales pipelineProactively working with integrators to move them through the levels of the company’s integration program and do more projectsProactively fostering Ignition growth within targeted end-usersAssisting with internal trainings and projectsDirectly managing enterprise contract customersAiding in the support and training of distributorsParticipating in OEM discussionsSpeaking at events and conferences, including the Ignition Community ConferenceRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and at least 4-7+ years of programming and/or database experience OR 4-7+ years of programming and/or database experienceCertifications such as: programming bootcamps, cloud infrastructure or networking and 2-4 years of experience in these areasExperience with Ignition and familiarity with Ignition modules and architecturesAbility to provide a basic technical demonstrationsBilingual is a plusAbout UsWho are we?Champions for industrial automation innovation and driven by a mission statement to empower our customers to swiftly turn great ideas into reality by removing all technological and economic obstacles, we create and deliver solutions that relieve pain points, bring efficiency to operations and optimize integration.Why Choose Inductive Automation?Our passion goes beyond customers.
