We are hiring a Senior Splunk Engineer / Observability & Migration Specialist to lead enterprise-scale migrations from Splunk to Observe Inc. Requires deep Splunk expertise, observability engineering experience, and ability to lead technical execution, onboarding, and governance.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end Splunk to Observe Inc. migration initiativesInventory and migrate Splunk dashboards, alerts, saved searches, configurationsTranslate SPL queries to OPAL preserving logic, filters, aggregationsDesign and validate ingestion pipelines using OpenTelemetry, Cribl, Fluent BitRebuild and optimize dashboards and alerts in Observe Inc.Perform sandbox-first validation, replay testing, parity checks, performance testingEnforce change management, peer review, rollback planning, production promotion controlsOptimize ingestion pipelines for performance, cost, fidelity, latency, reliabilityBuild and maintain automation using Terraform and AnsibleMaintain Git-versioned scripts, configurations, runbooks, migration documentationMentor and onboard new engineers joining the migration programPartner with DevOps, SecOps, Compliance, leadership teamsSupport post-migration monitoring, incident response, RCA, optimizationRequired Skills:Strong hands-on Splunk architecture, SPL, dashboards, alerts, REST APIsExperience with Observe Inc. or modern observability platformsKnowledge of OPAL query languageExperience with OpenTelemetry, Cribl, Fluent BitStrong understanding of ingestion pipelines, schema mapping, data normalization, replay validationExperience with Terraform, Ansible, Git, change-controlled environmentsAbility to work in regulated environments: financial services, healthcare, public sectorStrong documentation, governance, technical leadership skillsImportant Requirement:All migration buildout, testing, validation, dashboard development, alert configuration must be completed in sandbox environments before production promotion.
