You will review, recommend and implement system enhancements to improve quality, performance, and maintainability of our products. You will contribute to an ever-improving engineering environment by ensuring all stakeholders are informed of status and supported in their roles.With the variety of environments, platforms, technologies and languages, you should be comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments and learning a variety of programming languages.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and contribute to design decisions for new and existing application development, escalating issues and seeking help to overcome obstaclesLead small and medium sized projectsGuide and train less experienced engineersCollaborate with Architecture and DevOps teams to evaluate tools, processes and technologiesPartner with Product Management to discuss solution feasibility and high-level effort estimationPrepare and provide project status and risk assessments to ensure programs stay on scheduleRecommend data model and framework improvements by analyzing trends and best practicesActively develop software solutions for PDI productsPerform testing to ensure systems meet user requirementsUse an Agile approach to analyze and determine best technical solutionsTroubleshoot, test, and validate software issues and maintain thorough documentationCompile test results to inform problem-solvingPerform engineering tests to identify defects and collaborate with QA to plan testingWork with Product Owner to clarify and estimate feature workCoordinate with QA to plan tests and resolve issues during release stabilizationQualifications5-9 years of experience in software design and development in a product development environmentProficiency in .NET/C#, SQL, JavaScript Web Frameworks (e.g., Angular), and ASP.NET MVCFamiliarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and experience with Azure DevOps or Jira1+ year of experience as a technical team lead preferred2+ years of practical experience with Agile methodologiesStrong self-motivation and desire to help othersExcellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiencesAbility to work as a contributing member in a fast-paced teamStrong multi-tasking and prioritization skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skills under pressureAbility to influence decisions without direct authorityCollaborative by nature with a desire to learn independently and via questionsAdheres to best-practice standards and departmental policiesStrong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, data structures and algorithmsBehavioral CompetenciesEnsures AccountabilityManages ComplexityCommunicates EffectivelyBalances StakeholdersCollaborates EffectivelyClosingPDI is committed to offering a well-rounded benefits program to support you and your family throughout your life and career.
