🚀 Requirements: ◽ Strong experience with enterprise information technology. ◽ Proven experience in implementing and maintaining both virtual and physical environments. ◽ Expert knowledge of hypervisor technologies and Windows operating systems is required. ◽ Extensive experience with various storage platforms (SANs, NAS, Enterprise Backup platforms). ◽ Extensive experience with various Hypervisors (VMWare, Nutanix, AWS, Hyper-V). 🚀 Abilities: ◽ Effectively and professionally communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization and peers to reach common goals. ◽ Successfully pass a background investigation and drug screen according to company policy. ◽ Produce a high contribution level to the team environment and meet performance standards. ◽ Proactive in understanding and staying current on the projects in progress, projects in the pipeline, and operational issues. ◽ Maintain a strong customer service focus. ◽ Handle crises calmly and effectively. ◽ Write detailed reports and correspondence. ◽ Possess a strong ability to reason quickly and shift attention to priority situations as necessary; reason with other technical staff to assist in the problem resolution process. ◽ Rely on experience, judgment, and decision-making skills to plan and accomplish goals and have the confidence to state opinion even when the majority disagrees. ◽ Be required at times to work a flexible schedule that provides needed coverage for customer service levels and/or time-sensitive projects. 🚀 Responsibilities: ◽ Manage system/application administration and the provisioning and management of system resources. ◽ Develop/Architect migration strategies for various aspects of the infrastructure including storage, hypervisors, servers, backups, etc. ◽ Research and analyze requirements to determine best applicable solutions. ◽ Document architecture, policies, and procedures. ◽ Participate in hardware lifecycle management (highly virtualized environment). ◽ Review existing solutions for cost and performance. ◽ Implement and support regulatory compliance, policies, and procedures related to IT operations and security. ◽ Support peers on other projects and tasks while balancing regular duties. ◽ Assist with new technology investigations, coordinate implementations and support of new enterprise applications and technologies entering the infrastructure, write and update service and procedural documentation, propose and implement process improvements, and work collaboratively with peers and support teams. ◽ Implement and support existing and new applications and technologies entering the infrastructure. ◽ Record and respond to technical incidents and requests using the Service Desk ticketing system while adhering to performance goals. ◽ Resolve technical issues within defined SLAs and document root cause and resolution. ◽ Contribute to the development and maintenance of overall backup and recovery strategy (Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity). ◽ Perform additional duties as required by management from time to time. ◽ Participate in an "on call" rotation, be available after-hours, and enforce GC Services Operations enterprise standards, policies, and procedures. 🚀 Nice to have: ◽ Experience in VMWare administration. ◽ Experience in Nutanix. ◽ Microsoft certifications. ◽ Strong Linux experience and skills are preferred. ◽ Strong Powershell experience preferred.
