This role will play a critical part in helping MDCalc better understand how clinicians engage with our platform, how our tools are used in practice, and where opportunities exist to improve the product experience and expand our impact across healthcare.This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to translate complex data into meaningful insights. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and motivated by using data to help shape product decisions and improve outcomes for clinicians and patients.The RoleAs a Senior Data Analyst, you will analyze product usage data, design experiments, and develop dashboards and analyses that help teams understand clinician behavior and product performance. You will play a key role in helping product and leadership teams make data-informed decisions about product development, user engagement, and platform growth.The responsibilities of this individual include the following, but are not limited to:Analyze product and user engagement data to uncover insights about how clinicians use MDCalc tools across specialties and clinical workflows, proactively identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for product improvementDevelop dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into product performance, user engagement, and key business metricsPartner with product managers and engineers to define success metrics, measure feature performance, and help shape product decisions through data-driven insightsDesign and analyze experiments and A/B tests to evaluate product improvements and new featuresTranslate complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations that guide product and business strategyInvestigate trends and patterns in clinician behavior, platform usage, and content performanceEnsure data accuracy and consistency across reporting and analytics workflowsCommunicate findings clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, including leadership and non-technical teamsYour Background5-7+ years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, or business intelligence rolesStrong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets, including the ability to independently explore data and investigate complex product or user behavior questionsExperience analyzing product or user behavior data and translating insights into actionable recommendationsExperience designing and analyzing experiments or A/B testsFamiliarity with Python or R for data analysis is a plusExperience with BI and data visualization tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or similarStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCuriosity and a strong sense of ownership when investigating questions and uncovering insightsWhat MDCalc offersAbility to make a true difference in medicine: MDCalc is the most broadly used medical reference used by 65% of physicians worldwide.Medical, Dental, & Vision coverage, with option to extend to your dependentsCompany-sponsored short-term insuranceFully-paid 8 week parental leave, after 6 months of employmentCompany-sponsored 401k, after 3 months of employmentUnlimited vacation for salaried roles - we trust you to take the time you needTri-annual company offsites to connect, reflect, and plan togetherWork from home monthly stipendHybrid work environment with a great team office in Greenwich Village, NYCA culture of fun and motivated team members who believe in a greater mission here at MDCalc
