Requirements and responsibilities

About demandDrivedemandDrive is a growth-focused go-to-market agency that helps B2B organizations accelerate pipeline and revenue through integrated sales, marketing, and revenue operations solutions. We partner with companies ranging from emerging businesses to enterprise brands to design and execute customized programs that align strategy, technology, and execution across the full customer journey. Our services include sales development, demand generation, digital marketing, website development, CRM optimization, and GTM systems support - all built to deliver measurable business outcomes. At our core, we combine smart technology, data-driven processes, and talented people to help clients grow faster and operate more efficiently.Position Overview - GTM EngineerAs our GTM Engineer, you'll work directly with clients to diagnose their go-to-market challenges and build the solutions that fix them. The GTM stack is the bedrock of all our services. On top of that, you'll bring in automation tools, AI, CRM integrations, and whatever else gets the job done. You'll own the client relationship from discovery through delivery and be the person they trust to turn their thorniest revenue problems into working, scalable systems.Who We’re Looking ForYou know that feeling when you look at a broken, manual, 47-step process and think, "I could automate the hell out of that," and then you actually do it? That's who we want. We're looking for someone who has at some point woken up at 2am with a Clay workflow idea and couldn't let it go. Not because we expect that (this is a 9-5, we mean it), but because that's the kind of person who genuinely loves this craft. Someone who gets excited about a hard problem, loves the puzzle, and gets real satisfaction from watching a system they built actually work. We're an agency, which means you won't just be building in the background while someone else talks to the client. You'll be in the room. You'll work with companies across all kinds of industries, many of them large with genuinely complex and unique problems, and no two engagements look the same. One week you're untangling a broken outbound motion for a fintech company, the next you're building an enrichment engine for an enterprise SaaS team that's never heard of Clay. You'll lead those discovery calls, dig into the problem, collaborate with internal teammates, and then go build the thing that actually solves it. The puzzle is the job, and half the fun is cracking it with the people in front of you.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead client calls and discovery sessions to understand business goals and translate them into technical GTM solutions.Build deep, multi-layered Clay workflows that pull from enrichment providers, intent signals, technographics, job postings, and custom data sources.Design AI-powered automations and agent workflows to handle research, personalization, routing, and qualification at scale.Integrate CRM platforms (HubSpot or Salesforce), outbound tools, and data sources into cohesive systems that work together.Build and manage automation workflows using tools like Zapier and n8n to connect systems and eliminate manual work.Create end-to-end workflows covering the full buyer journey, from first signal through to closed deal and renewal.Run experiments, measure results, cut what isn't working, and scale what is.Stay current on new AI capabilities and proactively bring ideas to clients before they think to ask.Required QualificationsClay (This One is Non-Negotiable)You need to be a genuine Clay power user. Multi-step enrichment waterfalls, custom API integrations, AI column chains, Claygent workflows, webhook triggers, and advanced filtering logic. Clay is the core of how we deliver for clients. If you've coached others on Clay, built workflows that made someone say "wait, how did you do that?", or competed in the Clay Cup, we want to hear from you. After all, we’re one of Clay's preferred partners!AI-First ThinkingYou approach every problem by asking how AI can do the heavy lifting. You're comfortable building with Claude and other leading models, not just prompting them but wiring them into real workflows. You stay current on what's new across the AI landscape, and you bring those capabilities into client work before anyone has to ask.CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce - Must Have One)Deep working knowledge of at least one. You know how data flows through the system, where it breaks, and how to fix it. You've built complex workflows, lead scoring models, lifecycle stages, and attribution setups. Both are a big plus.Automation ToolsSolid experience with Zapier and/or n8n to connect systems and automate processes. You know how to route data, trigger actions, and build reliable workflows that don't fall apart in production.Client LeadershipYou're comfortable leading calls with clients, including large enterprise stakeholders. You can run a discovery session, ask the right questions, scope a solution, and communicate clearly about what you're building and when it'll be done. You don't need hand-holding in client situations.GTM Tool StackHands-on experience with tools like ZoomInfo, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Salesloft, Instantly, everything in between!. You know which tools solve which problems.SQLSQL skills are a big plus. Comfortable pulling and manipulating data to support analysis, enrichment logic, and reporting.Technical FoundationComfortable with APIs and webhooks. Light scripting in Python or JavaScript is a plus. You can build an integration without pulling in a developer.Nice to HaveExperience at a Clay agency or GTM consulting firm.Active in GTM engineering communities like the Clay Slack, RevOps groups, or LinkedIn GTM circles.Benefits IncludeHybrid or remote work model (depending on proximity to HQ - must reside in the U.S.).Annual salary range: $110,000 - $120,000.Health coverage and other health & wellness benefits via BCBS, vision care, dental coverage (Delta Dental), paid paternity & maternity leave, life & disability insurance, 401(k) matching.Paid time-off and 14 paid holidays.Positive team culture.Business casual dress code.Company laptop, full tech stack, tools, and other resources provided by demandDrive.
