You will operate as a technical delivery leader, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes. This role requires strong technical credibility, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a proven track record of leading large-scale programs across multiple teams. You will play a critical role in improving delivery effectiveness, managing dependencies, and ensuring that risks and tradeoffs are surfaced early and addressed decisively.Specific Roles & Responsibilities:Drive Program ExecutionOwn end-to-end delivery for large, cross-team initiatives, ensuring alignment from planning through releasDefine program structure including milestones, critical path, and phased delivery approachDrive accountability across teams while enabling efficient and effective executionEnsure alignment between product intent and engineering executionManage Dependencies and RiskIdentify, map, and actively manage cross-team dependenciesSurface risks early and drive mitigation strategiesMaintain clear visibility into program health, blockers, and execution riskLeverage modern tools (including AI-assisted analysis, reporting, and workflow automation) to improve program visibility, decision-making, and execution efficiencyEstablish and maintain a single source of truth for program status and dependenciesTechnical PartnershipEngage with engineering teams to understand system architecture, constraints, and tradeoffsValidate assumptions and ensure technical feasibility of plansTranslate technical complexity into clear insights for stakeholders and leadershipPartner closely with Engineering Managers and Technical Leads to drive execution decisionsDriving Decision Clarity and EscalationFrame decisions with clear tradeoffs, risks, and recommended paths forwardEscalate issues at the appropriate time with context and actionable recommendationsEnsure disagreements are resolved quickly and do not stall deliveryMaintain decision tracking and ensure follow-through on outcomesPlanning and Release ReadinessSupport planning processes including roadmap alignment and execution planningEnsure readiness for releases including QA coordination, rollout strategy, and operational preparednessCoordinate across teams to ensure successful delivery and launch executionImproving Delivery EffectivenessIdentify gaps in execution and drive improvements in delivery processesEnable better predictability through structured planning and trackingSupport continuous improvement across teams without introducing unnecessary process overheadQualifications:8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or similar rolesDemonstrated experience leading large-scale, cross-team technical programs (5+ teams)Strong technical background (engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience)Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, system design, and architecture conceptsProven ability to manage dependencies, risks, and complex delivery environmentsStrong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience working closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teamsDesired:12+ years of experience in technical program or engineering leadership roles (Staff level)Experience leading platform-level or multi-product initiativesAbility to influence senior leadership and drive organization-wide alignmentExperience defining and improving delivery frameworks, processes, and toolingExperience in SaaS or enterprise software environmentsExperience applying AI tools (e.g., code analysis, documentation generation, workflow automation) to improve delivery outcomesWhy Teaching StrategiesAt Teaching Strategies, our solutions and services are only as strong as the teams that create them.
