Chemicals Global is a growing US-based B2B distributor of industrial chemicals, food-grade lubricants, sanitation products, and raw materials serving manufacturing companies in the United States and Latin America.
We're looking for a proactive, highly organized Purchasing & Operations Manager to lead procurement, supervise daily operations, ensure accountability, and help implement AI-powered workflows.
We need a problem-solver who takes ownership, follows through, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Purchasing & Procurement: Source suppliers, negotiate pricing, manage RFQs, secure product availability, issue purchase orders, and identify alternative suppliers.
• Operations & Logistics: Coordinate purchasing, freight, order fulfillment, shipment tracking, and on-time deliveries.
• Team Supervision: Ensure sales support, inventory, invoicing, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and QuickBooks activities are completed accurately and on time by the responsible team members.
• AI & Automation: Use ChatGPT, HubSpot, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, and automation tools to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Accountability & Execution: Monitor deadlines, follow up on pending quotations and orders, maintain dashboards, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure every task has an owner, deadline, and next action.
• Process Improvement: Develop SOPs, implement operational controls, track KPIs, and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years of experience in B2B purchasing, procurement, operations, or supply chain.
• Advanced English – written and spoken (required).
• Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• Proven ability to supervise people, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with CRM/ERP systems and AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT.
• Excellent organizational skills, initiative, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Full-time availability during US Eastern Time business hours.
HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience purchasing raw materials, including industrial chemicals, food ingredients, and industrial supplies.
• Knowledge of international purchasing, imports, customs clearance, and Incoterms.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials (Hazmat/DOT) regulations, shipping requirements, and documentation.
• Experience working with US-based suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Experience with HubSpot, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Make, Zapier, or similar automation tools.
