ISMIRA Agency actively recruiting for position Hotel Manager for Scylla AG!As Hotel Manager, you make sure that all hotel services on the ship run smoothly and guests are happy. You lead the hotel team, guide department heads, and support your crew to deliver excellent service. Your work keeps cabins, restaurants, and public areas organized and welcoming, and helps guests enjoy their time onboard.Conditions:Free food and accommodation on boardSeasonal work with contracts from March to November renewable each seasonRiver ships are located in Europe - closer to homeNo Safety certificates or Seaman's book requiredPossibility to take paid days off and vacation during the seasonExcellent working conditions, pension plan and health insuranceFree internet (10 GB per month)Shore leave almost every dayThere are always more openings for German speakersSome vessels offer free German language courses on board Duties and responsibilities:Ensure full compliance with Scylla standards, SOP´s policies and proceduresResponsibility for the entire hotel operation on board and guarantee fullest guest satisfaction and pleasant working environment for all crewEnsure that monthly financial outlooks for F&B, hotel material etc. are on target and accurateExecuting all aspects of planning and organizing of upcoming cruises for the Hotel DepartmentsConsulting with Captain and Head of Department on board activities or any other aspects of onboard operationHandling complaints, and oversee the service recovery procedureEnsure all decisions are made in the best interest of high guest /crew satisfactionDeveloping improvements actions based on outcome of questionnaires, guest-crew feedback, financial reportsResponsible for the entire hotel operation on board and day-to-day staff management and guestCoordinating all crew matters by establishing efficient communication between the ship and officeResponsible for the stock ordering for the hotel department such as beverages, food, chemicals, amenities, shop-, wellness-, office supplies and hardware in hotel departmentetc.Requirements:Several years of management experience in this role with an outstanding and proven management skills and extensive hands-on experienceExcellent leadership, management, organizational and active communication skillsPreferably graduated within hotel industry and/or previous (river) cruise ship experienceStrong understanding of hotel management best practicesStrong hotel department knowledge and experience as well as an outstanding F&B knowledge and skillsAble to train crew members in each area of hotel operation, able to build up the trainingsGuest focused, stress resistant, calm under the pressure, resilient and team player with positive approachProfessional attitude and appearance, reliable and hard-working with great team spiritOpen minded and flexible with high social, interpersonal and cultural competenciesTo act as dynamic motivator and onboard ambassador for the Hotel OperationsDepartment through Leadership & Management by exampleBeing representative of Scylla´s values.Age: min. 18 years oldNon-EU nationals will need D type German visa before joiningWhy Join UsAt Scylla, you’ll support a dynamic, international team while helping create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.
