Responsibilities
We are now accepting applications for a full-time, remote role in our Engineering Department.This is a remote role; however, candidates must reside in one of the following states: Florida, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah or Virginia.We are seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, accuracy, and performance of our software products, including AI-enabled features and workflows. This role will design and execute manual and automated tests, evaluate AI-generated outputs, identify defects and unexpected behavior, and collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues before release.Key Responsibilities:Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scriptsPerform manual and automated testingIdentify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking toolsWork closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteriaManage the QA process from end to end using project management tool, like Open Project.AI tools to develop automated testsCollaborate with engineering and product teams to define acceptance criteria and quality standards for AI features.Support responsible AI practices by testing for unintended, misleading, or unreliable outputs.Use AI-assisted testing tools, where appropriate, to improve test creation, defect analysis, and QA efficiency.Conduct regression, functional, usability, and performance testingVerify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved before releaseParticipate in sprint planningProvide feedback on product usability and overall qualityMaintain detailed testing documentation and reportsRequired Qualifications:1–3 years of experience in software testing or quality assuranceStrong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processesExperience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)Experience validating data accuracy, quality, and consistency across software workflows with AI tools.Basic knowledge of SQL and databases for data validationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman or REST clientsExperience with tax, accounting, financial, or document-processing software.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflowsKnowledge of project management tools like Open ProjectKey Skills:Attention to detailAnalytical thinkingAI product testing and validationProblem solvingCommunication and collaborationTime managementDocumentation skillsProject managementBenefits:Competitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offFlexible work scheduleAbout Us:Gruntworx is a Drake Enterprises, LTD company based out of Franklin, NC with locations and Hampton, NH .
