The platform spans a range of surfaces, from deep backend services and integrations to customer-facing applications and intelligent, AI-driven voice experiences.We are looking for a Senior SDET to own quality across this full breadth. The ideal engineer is equally at home driving rigorous backend and API testing, validating customer-facing applications, and inventing new approaches to test systems that resist conventional, UI-driven automation. This is a backend-leaning, tooling-heavy role for an engineer who wants to solve hard testing problems and raise the quality bar for the entire team, not simply execute existing test plans.ResponsibilitiesDesign and write test plans and automated test scripts across backend services, APIs, and customer-facing applicationsAnalyze and improve the scalability, performance, and efficiency of the testing pipelineDesign and implement automated test frameworksBuild solutions to aid in automated and load testingResponsibly drive complex projects forward to completionExercise independent judgmentMake informed recommendations to managementProvide leadership and mentoring to other engineersIndependently identify opportunities for automated testing at different levels (End to End, Integration, UI, etc.) and possible solutionsCommunicate frequently, clearly, and effectively with various technical and management audiences on usability, serviceability, and suggested changesQualifications:7+ years working as a software engineer or test automation engineerExpert in an object oriented language such as C# or JavaComplete understanding of the application development life cycleExpert knowledge of QA testing techniques and the STLCExpert experience testing REST web servicesExpert at testing backend-heavy services where little or no user interface is available to drive testingDemonstrated ability to design and build custom test tooling and harnesses for systems that are difficult to exercise through conventional automation, including asynchronous and event-driven servicesPractical experience applying GenAI/LLMs to solve engineering productivity, test generation, and analysis challengesExperience with stress and load testing tools and techniquesNice to Have:Experience testing telephony, VoIP, or other real-time communication systemsExperience testing AI-driven, conversational, or agent-based applicationsFamiliarity with modern front-end frameworksExpert understanding of advanced techniques such as stubbing and mockingExpert understanding of source control systems (GitLab) and CI/CD pipelinesExpert understanding of automated testing frameworks such as PlaywrightCool Company Benefits:A dynamic, rapidly growing company, focused on helping organizations thriveMedical, Dental, & Vision Insurance (for full-time employees)Competitive & Fair PayMaternity & paternity leave (for full-time employees)Short & long-term disabilityOpportunity to learn from a dedicated leadership teamTop-of-the-line company swagThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individual’s location, qualifications, education, work experience, skills and performance.
