Turner & Townsend is seeking a Head of Major Bids to lead the development and delivery of high-value, high-complexity bids across our Energy & Natural Resources practice, with a proven track record of winning major bids. Working closely with the UK Head of Major Bids; bid leadership team and client account leads, this role is critical to driving our continued success. The role will oversee the development of multimillion pound bid responses and ensure and ensure high quality submissions.This is a senior, business-critical role responsible for driving win rates on strategic pursuits — spanning nuclear, transmission and conventional and low carbon energies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end bid management for major Energy & Natural Resources pursuits, from opportunity qualification through to submission and client presentationOwn the bid strategy and win themes for each pursuit, working closely with UK Head of Major Bids; and client account leadsManage bid governance, timelines, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal standardsCoach and direct multidisciplinary bid teams (technical authors, commercial, HR, marketing) to produce compelling, client-centric submissionsDrive continuous improvement of bid content, templates, and case study libraries specific to the Energy & Natural Resources sectorLead post-bid debriefs and win/loss analysis, feeding insight back into sector strategySupport pricing and commercial strategy discussions in partnership with commercial leadsRepresent T&T in client-facing presentations, workshops, and final-stage pitchesBuild and maintain a pipeline view of upcoming opportunities in partnership with business developmentWhat We OfferThe opportunity to shape T&T's growth story in one of the most dynamic sectors in the marketA collaborative, high-performing bid and sector leadership communityCompetitive salary, benefits, and career development pathways within a global professional services firmAbout YouProven track record leading and securing major bids/proposals within energy, natural resources, infrastructure, or a related professional services/consultancy environmentStrong understanding of the E&NR sector landscape — and the client procurement processes typical to itExcellent stakeholder management skills, with credibility operating at Senior levelProven analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities, supported by a strong track record solving abilities, supported by a strong track record of deliveryOutstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical capability into persuasive client narrativeExperience managing bid budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams under pressureAPMP qualification (or working towards) desirableComfortable operating in a matrixed, fast-paced consultancy environmentExceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high quality outputs.Confident communicator with the ability to build credible, collaborative relationships across senior stakeholders and bid teams.Effective stakeholder management skills.Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
