Job Ad (2026 05)We're looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to run our production deployments and act as the operational point of contact for our US-based client team.The role has two modes. During release cycles, you focus on planning and executing deployments alongside the client. Between releases, you focus on improving the infrastructure and tooling that supports them: CI/CD pipelines, runbooks, observability, automation.The right person for this role is comfortable in Kubernetes and Helm, knows their way around a Linux shell, and is fine flexing into US working hours when there's a deployment in flight. You're someone who likes things to work, communicates clearly when they don't, and stays calm when production is on the line.WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DODuring deployment cycles:Plan, schedule, and execute production deployments in coordination with the client's engineering teamFlex into US working hours (afternoon/evening Romania time) during deployment windows to align with the client on releases, change requests, and incident responseAct as the day-to-day operational point of contact between our team and the client during release cyclesInvestigate and resolve deployment, networking, and infrastructure issues in production, escalating to the engineering team when neededCommunicate deployment status, risks, and incidents clearly to both client and internal teamsBetween deployment cycles:Improve the deployment infrastructure and tooling: CI/CD pipelines, Helm charts, runbooks, observability, automationWork on broader cloud and Kubernetes operations: cluster maintenance, networking, secret management, cost and reliability improvementsHelp shape deployment processes and change management as the platform growsQUALITIESYou take pride in clean, predictable deployments and good change disciplineYou enjoy working directly with a client team: writing tickets, joining their stand-ups when needed, being the single point of contact during deployment windowsYou're fine with a schedule that flexes (some weeks heavy US overlap, some weeks normal EU hours) instead of a fixed 9-to-5You stay composed during incidents and communicate clearly under pressureYou ask questions when something looks wrong instead of pushing throughYou document what you do, so the next person (or you, three months from now) doesn't have to reverse-engineer itComfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) as part of your daily workflowQUALIFICATIONS3+ years of experience in operations, DevOps, SRE, or related hands-on infrastructure rolesHands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Solid Kubernetes experience: deployments, services, ingress, debugging pods and workloads.Helm charts: reading, editing, templating, and deploying them.Networking knowledge across cloud and Kubernetes: Load Balancers, Ingress controllers, NGINX, Istio, Cilium, Azure CNI.CI/CD experience with ArgoCD and GitLab CIScripting and coding in bash, Python, or GoSolid Linux fundamentals: filesystem, CLI, log and process troubleshootingStrong written and spoken English (mandatory: you'll be in daily contact with the client)NICE TO HAVEPrior experience working directly with US-based clients or distributed teamsOn-call or production support experience in an enterprise / regulated environmentFamiliarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry)Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code toolsExperience with secret management tools (Vault, CyberArk, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault)Completed technical university degreeWHAT WE OFFERA monthly amount dedicated to well-being needsA monthly subscription to medical services21 vacation days / year; extra vacation days after 2 years within the company3 personal days / yearReferral bonusAccess to learning platforms for continuous self-development
