Solutus Legal Search has been exclusively retained by our client, a leading health and wellness platform that is revolutionizing telehealth for providers and patients alike, in its search for a Managing Counsel, Product.This attorney will lead a team of counsel-level attorneys who are responsible for providing practical, business-minded guidance on the marketing and promotion of the Company’s consumer products, from development to launch and beyond, including digital offerings and FDA-regulated products. This role sits at the intersection of product innovation, healthcare regulation, marketing, and e‑commerce, and will serve as a legal leader and strategic partner to the Company’s marketing, product, and growth teams. This is a managing role for someone excited to both do and build: advising directly on complex product matters while shaping strategy, processes, and standards for product legal support in a fast‑paced, consumer‑centric companyResponsibilities:Serve as a senior legal adviser for the company’s full product portfolio, advising on product development, launches, lifecycle management, and promotional initiativesProactively identify, interpret, and implement with a business-focused mindset consumer protection-related state and federal laws impacting products and servicesPartner closely with senior product and marketing leaders to understand strategy, roadmaps, and growth initiatives and help shape business decisionsCultivate a strong understanding of the company’s business model, technologies, products, and goals to align legal guidance with business objectivesLead, develop, and mentor a team of junior and mid-level attorneys, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team cultureSet standards, processes, and best practices to scale product legal review efficiently in a high‑growth environmentThe ideal candidate will have:Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law schoolActive bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction9+ years of experience practicing at a law firm and/or in-houseExperience advising on consumer products and advertising/marketing issuesAbility to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesExcellent communication and relationship‑building skills with cross‑functional partnersAbility to balance strategic guidance with hands‑on executionExcellent business judgmentCreative, self-starter mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity and novel legal issuesPreferred Qualifications: Experience leading a team of attorneys and legal professionalsExperience advising on AI-powered productsBackground in consumer goods, health tech, or digital product ecosystemsCompensation is targeted at an annual base salary range of $240,000 to $270,000, an equity grant, and generous benefits. The total compensation package will vary and depend on the candidate’s level of seniority, number of years of directly relevant experience, and geographic location.
