About the RoleAs a Director of Account Management, you are responsible for the development and execution of innovative strategies to improve the performance of Firebird’s frontline and catalog releases across DSPs. Strategies will be informed by your experience researching, designing, and executing sophisticated marketing programs and creating growth loops focused on artist and track development. This role is also the main liaison with the third party distributors that make up our global network.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with external label partners, across internal departments, Firebird’s distribution partners and DSPs to drive artist opportunities and revenueWork with commercial sales partners to construct a comprehensive DSP strategy that aligns with established editorial and marketing goals utilizing analytics tools and personal networkEngage DSP partners directly by territory on available programming to create editorial and marketing opportunities for new releases, catalog, retail marketing and direct marketingProvide distribution account management team with timely and thoughtfully crafted marketing & sales information on new releases, on-going priorities, and general artists and label activityCraft DSP pitches for priority releases and submit to accounts directlyCreate solutions to deliver results with DSPs directly and in an effort to hold our distribution partners accountable to a high standardAdd value on catalog releases outside of distribution relationships and directly with DSPs and marketing partnersCommunicate DSP-specific creative asset specifications and delivery deadlines to partnersMaster of established DSP systems and protocol while constantly experimenting with new release strategiesResponsible for reporting editorial results and analysis of consumptionQualificationsYou have 5+ years of experience at a DSP or Account Management at a label, distributor or management company with an extensive network of editors and marketers at DSPsProven record of leveraging contacts, crafting narratives and positioning data to develop songs and break artistsAbility to build testing frameworks, analyze raw data, and derive key insights in a dynamic work environmentYou are well versed in current popular music, cultural trends, and music industry operations across genresYou analyze situations and formulate actionable paths forward with a positive attitudeYou are detail oriented and able to take a broad overview simultaneouslyHave a strong understanding of metadata, new release production, DSP applications and recorded music sales and streamingAbout FirebirdFirebird is a next generation music company providing career and brand guidance to over 1,000 artists worldwide to help them develop and grow broader global audiences and build longer lasting, higher impact, more profitable careers.
