The company has raised over $75M in investment and is backed by investors including JP Morgan, Capital One, NBH Bank, Mendon Venture Partners, and Valley Bank.Responsibilities Accounting Task Ownership: Take full ownership of all accounting tasks, ensuring all journal entries and transactions are supported by detailed documentation and backup.Month-End Close Execution: Perform monthly General Ledger closes, including preparation of closing entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.Accounts Payable & Expense Management: Manage AP intake and coding of vendor invoices in Bill.com. Review expenses in Xero and handle monthly accruals for payroll and other liabilities.Customer & Partner Invoicing: Prepare client invoices and monthly statements. Support collection follow-up and maintain accurate AR aging logs.Bank & Treasury Support: Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor balances across all accounts. Assist with inter-bank transfers.Audit & Compliance Ownership: Serve as the primary owner for all annual audit Prepared-By-Client (PBC) fulfillment, ensuring timely and complete documentation. Assist with the preparation of income tax returns, quarterly state franchise tax estimates, and annual 1099 filings.Data Integrity & Accuracy: Maintain a high standard of data integrity with zero tolerance for errors. Proactively validate and cross-check all data sources to ensure alignment before transaction entry and reporting.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferredMinimum of 3 years of general ledger accounting experience with high attention to detailAdvanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, Claude AI plugin) and experience with GL systems like XeroSelf-starter mentality with an inclination for independent problem-solving and process improvementFintech industry/payments experience is a plus to haveBenefitsDirect access to CEO with high visibility and autonomyOpportunity to build and own the sales function at a high-growth companyCompetitive base salary plus uncapped commissionEquity/stock optionsMedical, dental, and visionFlexible PTOCompensation - $75,000 - $95,000
