About the Role:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing daily accounting operations, and supporting financial reporting processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO), and the ability to work in a fast-paced, global crypto environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling both operational accounting tasks and supporting strategic financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Track incoming and outgoing payments across fiat and crypto channels using internal payment tracking systems.
- Reconcile bank accounts, digital payment platforms, wallets, and company transactions.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Monitor expenses and ensure proper categorization, including crypto-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy across financial systems.
- Support audit processes and assist in preparing documentation for tax and regulatory reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries and transaction records.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as an Accountant, In-House Accountant, or in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) (required).
- Experience with payment tracking systems and transaction reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in a crypto company, fintech, or banking environment is highly preferred.
