Responsibilities


Essential requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, QTS or equivalent). • Strong knowledge of Early Years pedagogy and the EYFS framework. • Ability to deliver a play-based EYFS curriculum. • Understanding of UK safeguarding and child protection procedures. • Strong communication, ICT and organisational skills. • Ability to support pupils with different abilities and language backgrounds. • Commitment to professional development and collaboration with colleagues. Key responsibilities: An EYFS teacher there is expected to: • Deliver inspiring play-based learning in line with EYFS. • Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment. • Plan learning based on children’s interests and developmental needs. • Use assessment to track progress and next steps. • Support English language development through interaction and activities. • Communicate regularly with parents. • Contribute to the wider life of the school as it launches. Desirable (but not essential): • Experience in a UK independent school or British international school. • Experience with international inspection or accreditation frameworks. • Familiarity with education technology such as iPads. The school is opening its Junior School in August 2026, so early hires will help establish the culture, systems and curriculum from the start.
