Responsibilities
HiThrive is looking to hire a full-time senior full-stack engineer to work on our employee recognition SaaS platform. You'll be working alongside our Chief Technology Officer/Lead Developer.
Responsibilities:
* Build and ship end-to-end product features across Node.js services and Nuxt/Vue.js web apps.
* Design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs and backend systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Model and optimize data access patterns in GCP Datastore, including performance, indexing, and migrations.
* Improve reliability, observability, and performance (logging/metrics/tracing), and participate in on-call/incident response as needed.
* Collaborate with Product/Design to translate requirements into high-quality, user-friendly experiences.
Requirements:
* Strong proficiency with Node.js (TypeScript preferred) and building/maintaining production APIs.
* Strong experience with Vue.js and Nuxt, including component architecture, state management, and performance tuning.
* Hands-on experience deploying and operating services on GCP (e.g., Cloud Run/App Engine, Cloud Build, IAM, logging/monitoring).
* Solid understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, auth, security best practices, caching) and modern frontend tooling.
* Comfortable working in an agile environment, communicating clearly, and owning projects from discovery to delivery.
* Experience with distributed systems, multi-tenant SaaS, or building internal admin/ops tools.
