Responsibilities

The system administrator is a key member of the IT team, responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organization’s IT systems, with a specialized focus on application, user, and domain management using Microsoft Entra ID. This role ensures seamless identity synchronization, maintains a secure infrastructure, and provides high-quality support to end users. Key responsibilities include: * Identity provider management by configuring and administering solutions such as Azure AD (Entra ID) and Okta, including the implementation of single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA). * Active directory governance through lifecycle management of user identities and security groups, as well as the design and enforcement of conditional access policies and role-based access controls (RBAC). * System and cloud management by monitoring cloud infrastructure health, deploying enterprise applications, and applying security patches aligned with Microsoft 365 standards. * User provisioning by automating onboarding and offboarding workflows through integrations between HR systems and Entra ID. * SharePoint administration, including managing permissions and access controls in SharePoint Online and using Power Automate to optimize workflows. * Security and compliance activities such as conducting regular assessments, performing identity threat detection, and responding to incidents involving compromised credentials. * Backup and recovery tasks, including executing disaster recovery testing and managing data integrity; experience with CubeBackup is a plus. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field. Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, or Network+. Technical requirements include expert-level experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), strong proficiency in scripting for automation and bulk updates using tools such as PowerShell, MS Graph, or Bash, hands-on experience with group policy objects (GPO) and conditional access, familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and networking protocols, and experience with ITSM tools and data governance practices. The work environment is a hybrid position with primarily sedentary, office-based work. The organization is seeking a long-term team member committed to operational efficiency. GVSS / MedVA / MyOrthoVA / BizVA is an equal opportunity employer committed to maintaining a secure and efficient infrastructure while fostering a collaborative work environment.
