Learn more at pulitzercenter.org.About the roleThe Pulitzer Center seeks a dynamic program leader to execute public programming that amplifies the impact of our journalists work and strengthens connections with communities across the United States. As Program Manager - Outreach, you\'ll design and lead diverse community-facing initiatives—from expert convenings to film festivals to grassroots partnerships—that bring critical global issues into local conversations and expand our reach into underrepresented regions and communities.This role combines strategic partnership development with hands-on program execution. You\'ll cultivate relationships with community organizations, cultural institutions, and media outlets while overseeing the operational details that make programming successful. You\'ll also lead monitoring and evaluation efforts to ensure our outreach work drives meaningful impact, and you\'ll mentor an Outreach Coordinator, building team capacity as we scale our community significant autonomy to innovate while contributing to an organization known for supporting some of the world\'s most important reporting.ResponsibilitiesProgram Execution & Partnership DevelopmentDevelop and execute grant-affiliated outreach projects and initiatives, determining budget needs and partnership strategiesOrganize diverse events, workshops, and activities with partners including expert convenings, film festivals, exhibitions, panel discussions, and community dialoguesIdentify, facilitate, and maintain relationships with community partners, media outlets, cultural institutions, libraries, and civic organizations to create programming and expand organizational visibilityDesign and implement Pulitzer Center outreach initiatives aligned with organizational impact goals and strategic prioritiesCreate programming pathways with potential partners and pursue formal partnership agreementsFocus intentionally on expanding connections within underrepresented regions and communitiesMonitoring & Evaluation LeadershipResearch and develop survey and evaluation processes in collaboration with Engagement team colleaguesImplement monitoring and evaluation systems for progressive experience in program management, community engagement, nonprofit programming, or related fieldsProven track record developing and executing successful public programs or community-facing initiativesStrong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detailPartnership development experience with demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse organizations and stakeholdersExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to represent the organization professionally to external audiencesExperience with program evaluation, data collection, and using insights to improve programmingBudget management and administrative oversight capabilitiesSupervision or mentorship experience with commitment to developing others\' skills and capacitiesCommitment to equity and inclusion with experience engaging underrepresented communitiesAbility to work
