Avantor/NuSil in Irving, TX is HIRING! We are looking for a Manufacturing Operator to join our team. The Manufacturing Operator will work independently and in coordination with the Lead Operator and/or Supervisor to ensure accurate and compliant manufacturing of various silicone products. This role involves operating a variety of automated and semi-automated equipment and processes, performing basic trouble-shooting, and maintaining equipment cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Responsibilities: - Operate mixing machines, coating machines, and cutting and packaging machines under SOP and GMP guidelines - Perform basic trouble-shooting and maintain equipment cleanliness - Identify and implement process improvements and process validations - Deliver raw materials and intermediates to production sites - Assist in routine duties in the operation and preparation of equipment and materials - Adhere to strict safety regulations and learn and adhere to safety rules for the work area - Monitor and perform daily activities within the production area to ensure safety practices are being followed - Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment - Monitor and record critical process parameters - Communicate with management on results of product testing, trends, and deviations - Accurately complete and review manufacturing and quality documentation - Perform quality control and specialized testing on products - Maintain control of area inventory by cycle counting and verifying accuracy of inventory - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
