As a News Editor, you will work closely with the Managing Editor to lead our editorial staff in the Americas region. You will be responsible for managing daily editorial operations, editing articles, and writing when needed. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global news brand that is committed to delivering news with a biblical worldview and reaching a wide audience. Responsibilities: - Work closely with the Managing Editor in managing a team of reporters and section editors. - Strategize short, medium, and long-term coverage plans. - Field pitches and assign stories that are of interest to our readers. - Help reporters work through complex stories. - Edit stories for content, accuracy, story flow, style, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. - Network with Christian organizations and leaders. - Ensure content is written and presented with clarity and a biblical worldview. - Able and willing to write articles and breaking news stories. - Know how to motivate a team. - Brainstorm and implement creative ways to reach new and wider audience. - Other duties as assigned.
