Tech Firefly is partnering with a national financial services company to hire a Mainframe Systems Programmer. This is a dynamic team that works with cutting-edge technology solutions to solve unique challenges for clients. The Mainframe Systems Programmer will maintain and perform system programming on Mainframe systems, develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe software applications, analyze and troubleshoot Mainframe system problems, and provide technical solutions. The role also involves installing, testing, and validating Mainframe hardware and software upgrades, evaluating system performance and capacity planning, and ensuring system and compliance standards are adhered to. Responsibilities: - Maintain and perform system programming on Mainframe systems. - Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe software applications. - Analyze and troubleshoot Mainframe system problems and provide technical solutions. - Install, test and validate Mainframe hardware and software upgrades. - Evaluate system performance and capacity planning to ensure high system availability. - Ensure system and compliance standards are adhered to. - Provide technical expertise to support project teams in the development and delivery of Mainframe-based solutions. - Follow all Change and Incident Management Procedures. - Create the required technical documents that include software upgrade and backout processes. - Provide On-Call support on rotation basis.
