What started as a DME ePrescribing tool has become the order management platform of choice for home medical equipment.Join our team and make a difference in patient care.About the TeamYou will be joining a team focused on leveraging AI to automate document ingestion and data extraction, eliminating manual entry and accelerating the qualification process to deliver faster, more reliable HME order turnarounds and a seamless patient experience.About the RoleWe are seeking an engineering manager to grow our engineers and our engineering practice. We believe want to contribute to the code as well as grow engineers. This role will be responsible for coaching up to 5 engineers in growing their career and contributing code and coding practice to a team.ResponsibilitiesCoach and Mentorship: Manage up to 5 engineers, prioritizing their career growth, technical development, and day-to-day support.Team Execution & Delivery: Take accountability for your team's goals and roadmap execution. Proactively identify and remove blockers to keep projects moving efficiently.Strategic Technical Oversight: Review Architecture Decision Documents (ADDs), conduct pre-launch risk assessments, and ensure systems align with company goals.Technical Shaping: Lead early technical discovery, feasibility analysis, and capacity estimation for future projects.Maintain Relevance: Stay close to the code through regular PR reviews, design discussions, and incident retrospectivesTargeted Contributions: Allocate 10-20% of your time to technical work, prioritizing pairing and targeted tickets over daily feature development.Engineering Excellence: Guide engineering practices across teams using agile methods, TDD, and robust software design principles.Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary representative and point of contact for your team, ensuring clear communication with Product, Design, leadership, and cross-functional partners.RequirementsProfessional programming experience with open source languagesMinimum of 5 years of experience delivering software in a production environmentMinimum of 2 years of management experienceMust reside in the U.S.Nice to HaveProfessional experience with Ruby on RailsProfessional experience with React or TypeScriptExperience with automated evaluation and testing of LLM powered workflowsExperience with LangSmith or similar tools for observability and evaluationFamiliarity with prompt engineering and prompt lifecycle managementFamiliarity with LangGraph, AutoGen, or other agent orchestration frameworksSkill with AI powered coding tools (eg.
