Job DescriptionWe’re seeking a highly enthusiastic SolidWorks draftsman to join our design team in Los Angeles. This is a remote position with collaboration across our LA-based team.What You’ll DoCollaborate with the design and engineering teams to develop clear, accurate 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks.Create assembly instructions and detailed diagrams to support manufacturing and assembly processes.Produce renderings and animations using KeyShot or Blender to visualize concepts, layouts, and product demonstrations.Assist engineering with product designs by providing precise CAD models, tolerancing, and design for manufacturability input.Participate in design reviews and respond to feedback with timely updates and revisions.Maintain organized CAD libraries and documentation to ensure version control and easy retrieval.What We’re Looking ForExperience: 5–10 years of SolidWorks drafting and CAD modeling in a product design or manufacturing environment.Rendering/Animation Skills: Proficiency in KeyShot or Blender for high-quality renderings and animations.Collaboration: Strong team player who can work effectively with a distributed design team and stakeholders in Los Angeles.Attention to Detail: Exacting accuracy in drawings, assemblies, and bill of materials.Problem-Solving: Ability to translate concepts into workable CAD solutions and provide design feedback.Communication: Clear written and verbal communication; ability to document assumptions and design choices.Qualifications (Nice to Have)Familiarity with other CAD tools or simulation software.Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and tolerance stack-ups.Knowledge of industry standards and documentation practices.Join UsIf you’d like to join our team, please submit your resume, a link to your SolidWorks portfolio (including samples of assembly drawings if available), and any KeyShot or Blender renderings or animations you’ve produced.
