Job DescriptionKeedian is transforming how buildings operate - combining technology implementation, AI-powered optimization, and managed services to help multi-site organizations cut costs, reduce emissions, and move from reactive fixes to predictive performance. Our vision is bold: a future where buildings run autonomously, so our clients can focus on what matters most. Our vision is simple but ambitious: buildings that run themselves. To get there, we don’t rely on expensive, complex systems. We build practical, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions that actually work in real environments.📍 Location: México Travel: ~30% (site visits, deployments, troubleshooting)Role missionKeedian Engagement Engineers design, build, and deploy low-cost, scalable control solutions across multi-site environments. This role is responsible for turning real-world constraints into working systems — from site understanding and system design to hands-on deployment, debugging, and iteration. The focus is not on large, complex EMS platforms, but on practical, cost-efficient solutions that can scale. This role exists to ensure systems are not only implemented, but actually work in production, can be replicated across sites, and can operate reliably in imperfect environments. If a system goes live, it should be because you built it, debugged it, and made it scalable.Main ResponsibilitiesSystem Design, Build & Deployment. Design and implement low-cost control solutions using IoT and edge-based architectures. Work hands-on with devices such as Raspberry Pi, ESP32, or similar, integrating sensors, controllers, and existing building systems. Develop and debug control logic (HVAC sequencing, scheduling, basic PID) and ensure full system connectivity from device to cloud to dashboard.End-to-End Implementation Ownership. Lead deployments across multiple sites, including site surveys, system design, installation, testing, and iteration. Ensure solutions are reliable, repeatable, and scalable, not one-off implementations.Real-World Problem Solving. Operate in environments with incomplete documentation, legacy systems, and multi-vendor setups. Make pragmatic decisions balancing cost, speed, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues directly in the field or remotely.Team Leadership (Player + Coach). Lead and support a small team of engineers (2–4), while remaining hands-on. Guide execution, unblock technical challenges, and help establish simple, effective engineering practices.Continuous Improvement. Identify opportunities to simplify systems, reduce cost, and improve scalability. Convert one-off solutions into standardized, repeatable approaches that can be deployed across multiple sites.Minimum Requirements5–8+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying control systems, IoT solutions, or automation systemsStrong understanding of HVAC systems and control logic (sequencing, scheduling, basic PID)Be familiar with the traditional BMS worldHands-on experience with IoT or edge architectures (devices, gateways, connectivity)Experience working across the stack: device, connectivity, cloud, and basic visualizationFamiliarity with communication protocols such as MQTT and Modbus (BACnet is a plus, not central)Basic programming skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar)Demonstrated ability to build and deploy systems end-to-end (not just design or manage)Experience working in real-world environments with constraints and imperfect conditionsAbility to work autonomously, make decisions, and own outcomes end to endAdvanced English (written and spoken)Nice to HaveExperience working with low-cost hardware (Raspberry Pi, ESP32, or similar) in production environmentsBackground in IoT, energy, or smart building startupsExperience deploying solutions across multi-site portfoliosExperience in cost-constrained environments (LATAM or similar markets)Exposure to cloud platforms, simple dashboards, or data pipelinesPrior experience leading small engineering teamsSpanish proficiencyBenefits Package⏰ Flexible schedule.🍰 Day off on your birthday.🌴 Unlimited PTO🏠 Moving day off.🎓 Support for studies and training.👥 Referral program.About KeedianWe are proud to be a team that celebrates, supports, and promotes all kinds of diversity; we are committed to equal opportunities regardless of nationality, ethnicity, skin color, gender, gender expression, disability, or religion.ApplicationIf everything you have read makes sense to you, apply now so we can get to know you!Apply To PositionUse My Indeed ResumeApply Using LinkedIn
