We are champions for better health, for those who need us most.Position SummaryThe Business Analyst will develop a functional understanding of our industry, clients, and the solutions we offer by working with our technical and business teams to understand our business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. The role is responsible for working with our development team to ensure that our products are built to meet client and internal team. The ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively as a fully contributing team member, under broad guidance from product strategy and well-formed development team(s) and performs essential tasks to support gathering, data analysis and mapping, product testing, issue management, meeting facilitation, and documentation.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with client and internal team to develop business processes, analyze, and document detailed requirements, functional designs, analysis and document data mappingCreate user stories, use cases and system architecture documents to support processes and drive direction for system engineering to build or adjust features to supported productsGather requirements including acceptance criteria and scoping new projectsAssist with maintaining and documenting system integrations to ensure updates and efficiencies, process flows, roles and responsibilities, and use cases that support continuous improvement and mitigate traceable errorsSupport monitoring data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are consistent and accurateSupport and maintain the product backlog to ensure prioritization and trending issues are accounted for and completedProvide production support for issues triaging, responding, resolving, and adhering to department service level agreements (SLA)Conduct all business in accordance with Healthmap policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent experience and IT certifications may be considered in lieu of education3 years of experience as an analyst in a technical environment using and writing SQL experience. With software development, and Software Technology Life Cycle (STLC) development experience is requiredHealthcare or Agile experience is requiredPython and Databricks proficiency preferredSkillsStrong analytical, data mapping, problem-solving, and business skills to extract implicit, unstated, and unrecognized requirementsStrong skills in collaborative working environments with the team members and stakeholdersUp to date knowledge of current enterprise standards, industry standards and technologies, methodologies, and best practicesEffective meeting management skills to initiate, develop agenda, conduct, and communicate decisionsStrong attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneouslyTravelNo TravelAmericans with Disability SpecificationsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
