We’re now investing heavily into the next stage of our AI evolution - building agentic systems, intelligent automation, and scalable ML infrastructure that can support the future of the business.You’ll be joining a small but highly impactful ML team inside our dedicated AI Vertical, working closely with product, engineering, analytics, and leadership teams across the company.Team StructureOur total team size is over 200 people.The engineering organization is distributed globally and organized into cross-functional product teams. These teams typically include front-end and back-end engineers, QA specialists, analysts, and product managers.The AI Vertical works closely with all major product domains across the company, including eCommerce, marketing, analytics, and internal platform tooling.You’ll work directly with experienced ML engineers and collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, DevOps, analytics teams, and product stakeholders.Why This Role MattersWe believe AI can unlock massive value for our customers - from intelligent recommendations and personalized experiences to workflow automation and agentic product capabilities.As our ML Engineer, you’ll help shape the foundation of our AI systems and influence how AI is integrated across the entire platform.This is not a role where you’ll only optimize isolated models. You’ll work end-to-end: from ideation and experimentation to production deployment and real product impact.We’re still early enough in our AI journey that your ideas, technical decisions, and product thinking will directly shape the future of the platform.What You’ll Work OnBuild and productionize AI-powered product features across eCommerce, marketing, analytics, and customer workflowsDesign and implement agentic AI systems and LLM-powered workflowsDevelop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models into production environmentsWork across the full ML lifecycle: experimentation, feature engineering, model evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iterationCollaborate closely with product managers, backend engineers, analysts, and DevOps teams to bring AI systems into productionDesign scalable APIs and inference services for AI-driven functionalityImprove and evolve our ML infrastructure, tooling, and AI-native development workflowsRapidly prototype ideas, validate hypotheses, and iterate based on real-world feedback and business impactContribute to experimentation frameworks, A/B testing approaches, and production monitoring practicesStay current with the latest developments in LLMs, agentic systems, generative AI, and applied machine learningWhat Professional Skills Matter For Us5+ years of production engineering experience in machine learning, AI engineering, backend engineering. We are open to strong backend engineers who would like to switch to AI EngineeringStrong Python and SQL skillsExperience with LLMs, RAG systems, AI agents, or orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or PydanticAIHands-on experience building and shipping production systemsExperience with modern AI/LLM ecosystems, agentic frameworks, or strong interest in transitioning into this spaceUnderstanding of ML/AI system design, experimentation, and production deployment practicesExperience building APIs or backend servicesExperience with data processing and analytics workflowsFamiliarity with MLOps concepts, monitoring, CI/CD, logging, and production reliabilityAbility to work in ambiguous environments and independently drive technical initiativesStrong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally across multiple teamsNice To HaveExperience with recommendation systems, personalization, marketing automation, or eCommerce productsFamiliarity with Airflow, Trino, Grafana, Prometheus, or modern data stack toolingExperience working in product companies or fast-moving startup environmentsStrong software engineering fundamentals and system design skillsWhat Else MattersProactivity - We value people who take ownership, ask questions, and actively improve the systems around them.Adaptability - AI evolves extremely fast.
