The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting manufacturing equipment, process improvement, and capital projects within a regulated manufacturing environment.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a varied role encompassing project management, equipment optimisation, process improvements, validation activities, and cross-functional collaboration.You will play a key role in developing new equipment, improving existing manufacturing processes, and delivering projects that enhance compliance, efficiency, and operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Engineering & DeliveryLead and support small to medium-sized engineering projects involving new and existing manufacturing equipment.Define equipment and process requirements based on business, operational, and customer needs.Prepare technical specifications and User Requirement Specifications (URS).Develop project plans and manage project activities using tools such as Microsoft Project.Support budget preparation and capital planning activities.Equipment & Process ImprovementEvaluate new technologies and propose solutions to improve manufacturing performance.Measure and analyse equipment efficiency, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness.Develop and implement initiatives to improve: Compliance, Yield, Throughput, Reliability, Operational efficiencyValidation & ComplianceSupport and execute equipment and process validation activities.Ensure activities are completed in accordance with internal quality systems and validation procedures.Develop and maintain appropriate documentation to support project delivery and compliance.Technical Support & TroubleshootingProvide engineering support for manufacturing equipment and process-related issues.Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.Utilise CAPA and non-conformance processes to resolve equipment and process issues.Supplier & Stakeholder ManagementSupport supplier selection, technical discussions, and equipment procurement activities.Work closely with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.Key RequirementsEducationDegree qualified in: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, Or a related Engineering discipline.ExperienceExperience working in a manufacturing or regulated environment such as: Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Advanced ManufacturingProven experience delivering engineering projects and equipment improvements.Strong understanding of: Equipment Validation, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvement Methodologies, Project Management PrinciplesTechnical SkillsExperience with some or all of the following would be advantageous:Equipment Qualification & ValidationURS DevelopmentProject Management Tools (MS Project)Manufacturing Equipment OptimisationProcess Improvement ProjectsEquipment TroubleshootingCAPA & Non-Conformance ManagementLean Manufacturing & Continuous ImprovementPersonal ProfileWe're looking for someone who is:Proactive and self-motivatedAnalytical and solution-orientedComfortable managing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skillsCollaborative and able to work effectively across cross-functional teamsWhy Apply?Opportunity to lead impactful engineering projects.Exposure to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.Join a collaborative and innovative engineering team.Strong opportunities for career development and progression.Play a key role in driving manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.If you're an experienced Project Engineer looking for your next challenge within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
