We’re hiring! TechTonic Justice is seeking up to two Legal Externs for the Fall 2026 semester to join our team of do-gooders and support advocacy at the intersection of tech justice and poverty law. Come learn with us!About the role:Legal Externs will support TTJ’s work to fight the ground-level harms AI causes to low-income communities. Under the supervision of TTJ’s legal team, externs will build research, writing, and advocacy skills while contributing to our multidimensional work across legal advocacy, public education, policy, organizing, and technical assistance.Externs may help research and draft legal memos, review AI legislation and policies, draft public education materials, support public records work, and perform other work to help advance TTJ’s strategic goals to fight back against AI injustice. This opportunity is open to 2L and 3L law students. Candidates should bring strong research, writing, and analytical skills, comfort working independently in a remote environment, and a commitment to social justice and equity. Students with experience or interest in antipoverty, civil rights, disability justice, economic justice, organized labor, grassroots organizing, or technology justice are especially encouraged to apply.Location: Fully remoteTime commitment: 15 hours per week, with some flexibilityTerm: Fall 2026 semester, with flexible start and end datesCompensation: Unpaid academic-year externship.
