Plan A Technologies is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with a passion for mobile gaming to join our QA team working on free-to-play (F2P), live-operated mobile titles.will be responsible for validating new features, executing comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring high-quality releases, and helping deliver the best possible experience to our players. You will work closely with Producers, Developers and the QA Lead to maintain the quality and stability of a live mobile game through frequent content updates, events and feature releases.The ideal candidate has strong manual testing skills, experience testing live-service mobile games, enjoys exploratory testing, and is comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment.Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience in Game QA to be considered for this role.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESExecute comprehensive manual testing for new features, Live Ops events, game updates and production releases.Execute and maintain test cases and regression suites using TestRail.Perform Smoke, Regression, Integration, Exploratory, Sanity, E2E and Ad Hoc testing throughout the development lifecycle.Validate gameplay systems, player progression, balancing, Live Ops events, Marketplace, In-App Purchases, leaderboards and player accounts.Report, document and track defects using Jira, providing clear reproduction steps, logs and supporting evidence.Collaborate closely with Developers, Producers and the QA Lead to investigate issues, validate fixes and assess release risks.Perform testing across multiple mobile devices, validating compatibility, screen resolutions, aspect ratios and different network conditions.Support the team's automation efforts by executing and maintaining automated test suites using BrowserStack and AltTester when required.Work with inspection and feature validation.Participate in release validation and post-release verification to ensure production stability.EXPERIENCE5+ years of experience ferably working on mobile titles.Experience testing Free-to-Play (F2P) mobile games and Live Operations.Experience executing manual testing throughout the full software development lifecycle.Experience designing and maintaining test cases using TestRail or similar test management tools.Familiarity with BrowserStack, AltTester or similar testing platforms is a strong plus.Experience working with Jira, Confluence and Agile development environments.Basic knowledge of the Unity Editor, including navigating scenes, inspecting logs or understanding basic C# concepts, is considered an advantage.Good understanding of Android (Google Play Console) and iOS (App Store Connect) testing and release processes.Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, including Smoke, Regression, Exploratory, Sanity and E2E testing.Experience validating gameplay systems, monetization features, player progression and Live Ops content.Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.Strong analytical, troubleshooting and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing project priorities.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with performance testing, including FPS and resource consumption across a variety of mobile devices.Familiarity with backend validation, multiplayer features, leaderboards or server-side configurations.Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines related to mobile game development.Previous experience using Unity as either a QA Engineer or Unity Developer.Experience working on published mobile games with frequent Live Ops updates.ABOUT THE COMPANY/BENEFITSPlan A Technologies is an American software development and technology advisory firm that brings top-tier engineering talent to clients around the world.
