Our established process ensures top-tier claims support, ranging from rapid catastrophe response to direct inspections.In pre-emptive for the upcoming CAT season, Hancock is looking for seasonal 1099 Estimate Writers to join our roster.As a Estimate Writer, you will work closely with Field Representatives, Insurance Adjusters, Clients, Customers, and all parties involved in claims remediation to produce accurate estimates for damage assessments and carrier loss evaluation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Review and develop insurance estimates using field inspection documentation, photographs and scope sheetsDevelop estimates including creation of accurate roof diagrams in Xactimate SketchWrite supplemental estimatesCommunicate with various team members to settle issues of scopeComplete and submit estimates for insurance carriersHandles all estimating inquiries for the team and demonstrate high level of problem resolution and technical assistance.Manage multiple projects simultaneouslySubmits estimates in a timely manner determined by company requirementsProvides technical explanations to clients, adjusters, consultants, and othersUpdates status of job within company software programOther duties and responsibilities as requiredQualifications:Demonstrated Xactimate Estimator competence, knowledge, and proficiency (Level 2 preferred)2+ years of field experience in roofing estimating or insurance adjustingXactAnalysis experience requiredProficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and WordHold a valid/active claim adjusting license (states may vary)Not required but always a plus – Experience in SymbilityNot required but always a plus – Experience in Commercial claimsEffective time management skills, able to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines.Intermediate to advanced computer skillsStrong attention to detailProfessional written and oral communication skillsHigh school graduate (Some College preferred)This is a remote 1099 Subcontractor position.
