Paralegals are directly responsible for preparing cases for submission and maintain client communication throughout the case lifecycle.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesPrepare USCIS forms and collect supporting documents for case submissionAOS, I-130, National Visa Center processing, Embassy Processing601 Waivers, SIJ applications, WAVA applications, Asylum, I-290B Appeal, Mandamus lawsuitsRemoval proceedings: motions, pleadings, etcSome Employment immigration work is done.Analyze case documents for proper case preparationPerform basic legal research on U.S. immigration and/or family lawCommunicate with new clients and existing clients for case managementRespond to clients and resolve case inquiries within 48 hoursDocument case management and client communication in firm CMSCommunicate with external agencies including USCIS, EOIR, and other agenciesCommunicate with external persons including opposing counsel and government attorneysMaintain excellent rapport within the production team and with other teams in the firmAssist with administrative tasks, as neededOther duties as neededRequired Skills/AbilitiesBilingual communication skills (English and another language preferred)Basic English writing skillsTech savvy (Microsoft Suite Products a plus)Detail-orientedPositive AttitudeExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to multitask and manage a caseload of 40+ casesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentEducation/ExperienceAt least three year experience in immigration as a Paralegal for a USA based law firm.Bachelor’s degree, preferred.Experience in a remote work environment is helpfulExceptional candidatesExceptional candidates will have an impressive ability to establish connections with our clients and potential clients, find out where they need support, and let them know you are there for them, and doing whatever it takes to provide the service they are requesting. (You also know how to distinguish the needs of our clients and be able to direct them accordingly.)Above allAbove all – you must LOVE these things and have references confirming that you thrive in this type of role.CompensationThe base pay for this role is commensurate with experience/education, DOE.
