AfterQuery is hiring Human Resources Experts to design and evaluate HR-focused challenges used for training advanced AI systems. In this role, you will apply your real-world HR expertise to build structured scenarios that test how well AI understands recruitment, employee management, compliance, and organizational behavior.You will help shape datasets that reflect real HR workflows, ensuring AI systems can accurately reason about hiring processes, workplace policies, performance management, and employee relations. This is a flexible, remote, project-based role suited for experienced HR professionals.ResponsibilitiesDesign HR-focused evaluation tasks and case studies for AI trainingCreate scenarios involving:Recruitment and talent acquisition strategiesInterview design and candidate evaluationEmployee relations and conflict resolutionCompensation and benefits planningPerformance review systemsHR compliance and employment regulationsOnboarding and offboarding processesEvaluate AI-generated HR responses for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with HR best practicesProvide structured feedback to improve model understanding of workplace systemsCollaborate with HR and technical teams to refine task difficulty and evaluation standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)Professional experience in human resources functions such as recruitment, employee relations, or HR operationsStrong understanding of HR processes, policies, and compliance frameworksExcellent analytical and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to assess structured scenariosPreferred QualificationsExperience across multiple HR domains (talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, HRIS, etc.)Exposure to HR training, policy development, or HR technology systemsCertifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCPFamiliarity with HR software tools and digital workforce platformsInterest in AI applications within HR or workforce analyticsWhy ApplyCompetitive pay at $50/hourFully remote and asynchronous work scheduleWork with a YC-backed AI research organizationContribute directly to AI systems used for workforce and HR intelligenceApply practical HR experience in a high-impact AI research environment
